Vamsee Yaganti, MD, is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology, Nuclear cardiology, Echocardiography and RPVI. Dr. Yaganti's extensive training in cardiovascular medicine gives him an opportunity to take care of patients with broad array of cardiac problems.

After completing medical school training at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, India; Dr. Yaganti came to the United States to pursue a Masters in Microbiology at the University of Kansas. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA followed by the pursuit of a Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. In addition, Dr. Yaganti completed a one year interventional cardiology fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Driven by his interest in structural heart disease, Dr. Yaganti continued to broaden his skill set by pursuing a structural heart disease fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center.

Dr. Yaganti joined Heart Center at St Mark's hospital in August, 2018. As the Director of Structural Heart Program at St Mark's Hospital, he was instrumental in starting LAAO and Mitraclip programs. Under his leadership, SMH performed their first mitral valve-in valve TAVR procedure and Utah's first percutaneous trans-axillary TAVR procedure. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded " Health Care Heroes Innovation Award" by Utah Business Magazine in 2018. He believes that taking care of patients is not just an opportunity but a privilege. He believes that every clinical decision is a shared decision with the patient. His goal as a cardiologist is to use the clinical experience, knowledge and procedural skills to impart the best possible care for each patient.

During his free time, Dr. Yaganti can be found spending time with my family, traveling and hiking. Even though he resides in Utah, he'll remain an avid fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Philadelphia Eagles.
